Chrome and the Ice Queen

This summer I spent some time making tinfoil diamonds for a photoshoot with the fantastic music project called Chrome and the Ice Queen - this is what we came up with! Visit their site to listen to 'Sway' a song I can't seem to stop humming in my head...

takin notes

This is my delicious brown moleskine notebook for school - complete with personalized foil stamps and embossings that were done in the relief studio on a slow day...my friend Meghan has a different, but matching book. Friendship notes?

Also, lately instead of taking notes,  I've been drawing a lot of 'gemstones'. I've started calling them that, but there's gotta be a better word for bizarre and oddly shaped geometrical shapes...

Spatial Potluck

My '3D Screen to Space'  class had what we called a 'Spatial Potluck' the other week where we all brought fun/random materials from projectors, to tents, to video footage, to laser light machines - and had a jam!

Here are some results from our shenanigans...

FRANCE

word on the street: I just got accepted to L'École Nationale Supérieure de Beaux Arts in Paris and am leaving January to do a semester there!

I have no image to add to this post, I just figured my excitement would be enough to fill the void.

killer robot

There exists a large scale cardboard model of this robot. He lives in my home. His arms move, however he does not shoot killer laser beams from his eyes.
We're working on it.

The following images are X-Rays taken from an altered book project titled 'Bacocortical Hyper Brain Content Syndrome'. The subjects in these images suffer from this rare type of hyper brain content - as evidenced by these scans.

Casa Rosa

Casa Rosa is the name of my old house. I miss it dearly - we had to move because it sold to people that wanted to live in it themselves instead of renting, can't say I blame them.

These are just a few photos on film of my room in Casa Rosa, featuring some of my favourite corners or pockets of things that I collected and displayed in my personal space.

Picture Frame + Sequins

Doily + Map Light

Travel Case + Floral Lamp

Window Ledge + Mini Pylons

I can't sleep so I decided to upload this photo instead.
It's a frame from a stop-motion animation I made, I think it's the last frame actually. You'll probably see it someday. It will probably be shared with the world via the interweb.

John Milton has owl eyes for you

Before: John Milton. Why John Milton, what strange eyes you seem to have. Also, why are you hooting?

After: Turns out John Milton = owl.
